There will be 3,000 to 4,000 people living, working, shopping and relaxing in the building later. De Rotterdam will house luxury apartments, offices, a four star hotel, shops, a health club, cafés and restaurants among other things. The functions in the building have been combined in such a way that one could quite comfortably stay in the building 24 hours a day.
De Rotterdam was designed by Rem Koolhaas’ world famous architectural firm OMA. Rem Koolhaas is one of the most influential international architects at the moment. Amvest is investing in rental and owner-occupied properties in De Rotterdam. The apartments are special because of the luxurious finishes and the spectacular views. All parts of De Rotterdam make clever use of sustainable energy by using the ground and water from the Maas among other things.
