In 2018, the European Commission published the EU Action Plan for Sustainable Finance to encourage the financial sector to make more sustainable and long-term investments. The Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) arose from this. This aims to improve disclosure on sustainable investments within the financial sector.
